I wanted to update you on something exciting that happened this week in our classroom!
Leslie Science & Nature Center visited our room to extend and enhance our learning in science. As you may or may not know, we've been learning about Nature's Recyclers. We've been discovering why waste changes over time together through experiments and observations of the natural world around us.
We met a variety of animals, including hissing roaches and mice. Here are some pictures from our experience!
Leslie Science & Nature Center (located @ 1831 Traver Rd, Ann Arbor, MI 48105) is open to the public. They have a bird sanctuary outside anyone can visit, and their critter house is open Sunday afternoons. There are also trails for you to walk through with your student-- all free of charge! They also have programs you can enroll your student in. I live close to the center and like to visit often, so definitely check it out! Maybe I'll see you there.
