Hello families,
Finally an update! A lot has happened these last three weeks, and I wanted to share a little bit of what's been going on.
In the classroom, we're finishing up various projects and tying up loose ends. One project student's have been working on is an IB Learner Profile Book for our families! In order to help our Mitchell family adults understand the IB Learner Profile, students have been working on personal narratives that reflect certain attributes. We're finishing up editing our narratives and they will be put together into a book. Be on the lookout for those after break!
We also had the opportunity to go to the Ann Arbor Hands-On Museum last Thursday. The field trip was a blast, and students had a lot of fun exploring different exhibits. Here are a couple of pictures from our trip!
A small personal update! I got sick with pneumonia last week. I'm finally on the road to recovery, so hopefully I'm 100% by the time we get back from break.
Today, I sent home a book with each student. My hope is that every student is able to read over break and have meaningful discussions around their book. Let's continue to partner even during breaks to support the growth of our children!
It's been a great 2015... see you all in 2016!
