Week 3 has been quite an experience! We started learning about place value in Everyday Math and exploring what natural waste is in science. As a class, we've been learning what it means to be a team, and how we can be a team player in this community.
We've also started discussing each part of the IB Learner Profile this week, and we started with what it means to be caring.
Important Announcements
- Curriculum Night is next Tuesday (9/29) from 6:00pm-8:00pm. Come out to get more information about Mitchell school and what we're doing in the classroom!
- Please make sure to check your student's homework folder when you can. It will help in keeping our students accountable for their learning! There are also flyers that families should take note of, so check in with your student.
- Reading logs: I will check them at the end of this month, but starting in October, I will be checking them on Mondays.
- I did send home information about XtraMath and how students can access the website from home. I believe it costs $5 for the app on tablets, but it is free on a computer. This is an extra resource for families to use if they want students to get some extra math practice at home! Not at all a requirement.
